I could hear the start up of my computer and apps in the background play, however there was no display. The interface on my computer also stays the same, except when I unplug the hdmi cable from my computer, where I get a brief blue screen before returning back to my normal view.įixes I have tried already: -restarting my computer -restarting my TV -restarting my computer and TV at the same time, while cables are connected -swapping out HDMI cables -reversing HDMI cablesĪlso, it should be noted that I have had one odd occurrence with my laptop between it working and now: About a week ago I was turning on my computer (after nothing abnormal had happened throughout the day) and for some reason the screen would not illuminate.
When I plug in my computer it goes from "No Cable Connected" to "No signal" and continues to stay black. Just recently I have been running into problems.
Occasionally I like to disconnect my ps4 and hook it up to my computer(new macbook pro, with hdmi port) to watch movies or whatever. No problems there, everything works fine. My current set up is I have my playstation with hdmi cable hooked up to my samsung smart TV.
